Department

Our Mission

The mission of the Men's Department is to develop and train disciples that are rooted in the inerrant word of God and committed to the Great Commission, focusing on reconciling men back to Christ and one to another.

GOALS

Provide opportunities for continued involvement in our church and our communities to reconcile lost souls to Christ and help others through charitable acts.

Plan events for large and small group interaction for fostering brotherhood and unity among the men.

Identify, cultivate, and promote effective leadership traits in men.

Train and equip the adolescents who will be church leaders in future generations.

Serve as a Christian role model; especially to those young men growing up without a Christian father in their lives.

Women’s

Department

Our Mission

The mission of the Men's Department is to develop and train disciples that are rooted in the inerrant word of God and committed to the Great Commission, focusing on reconciling men back to Christ and one to another.

GOALS

The Department of Women aims to honor the established foundation of our predecessors. The Department of Women will remain committed to the values, legacy and biblical principle of holiness as taught in the Church of God in Christ.

The Department of Women will seek to model the love of Jesus in all we do.

The Women’s Department of New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. is led by our Pastor’s wife,

Evangelist Mia Clark, First Lady.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S COUNCIL

Our Mission

The mission of the Christian Women’s Council is to educate others in the principles and practices of holiness and saintly living.

GOALS

Our council will serve as mentors for younger women, enabling them to establish and maintain Godly standards in church behavior, community relationships, home building, child development, self-improvement, and thus become soul winners.

MOTHER’S BOARD

Our Mission

The responsibility of the Church Mother is to help build the women’s ministry through the utilization of auxiliaries, units, evangelism, and prayer ministry. The Church Mother should be a Titus 2 woman, who teaches women to be good homemakers and how to love their husbands and their children.

GOALS

The Church Mother should have good organizational skills, using those skills to develop a strong, spirit-filled, progressive women’s department and help build the ministry of the local church. The Church Mother’s board can only operate effectively with the authority given by the pastor. The Church Mother’s should be women who are spirit- filled, sound minded, full of wisdom, respected and appreciated in their homes, churches, and communities; one who the pastor can trust to give guidance to the women’s ministry.

MISSIONARY DEPARTMENT

Our Mission

The Missionary Department consists of women who have answered the call of God to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to serve in various capacities throughout the church or to serve in the mission field locally or abroad. The group consists of Aspirant, Deaconess and Evangelist Missionaries. The Missionary Department offers these women training, preparation, and fellowship so that they may be productive in the local church, district, jurisdictional and even the national work.

GOALS

The work of the Missionaries include but is not limited to: visiting the sick, soul winning, altar assistance, Holy Communion assistance, Baptismal assistance, community service, evangelism locally and abroad and whatever their hands find to do to the glory of God and for the up-building of His kingdom. Our tools for preparation are seminars and training sessions, Tuesday night teaching and preaching services, mentoring and impromptu opportunities to minister.

YOUTH DEPARTMENT

Our Mission

The Youth Department will use innovative methods to ensure that our youth become valued resources to their families, churches, and communities. We will teach them how to become self-sustaining productive citizens.

GOALS

This department will pursue financial resources that will allow us to cultivate opportunities for the church’s young to become economically empowered and producers of jobs in the body of Christ, without compromising Godly principles. Thus, producing law-abiding outstanding youth to become agents of change in our church and society.

HOME & FOREIGN MISSIONS

Our Mission

The purpose of the Home & Foreign Mission is to educate, train, and develop the believer in all aspects of mission work locally and abroad. This mission is accomplished through the following goals:

GOALS

To continue the progression of the preaching of the gospel in foreign countries, especially in areas where there are no missionaries and areas where sound doctrine is not being preached;

To assist in the completion of the existing building and expansion projects currently underway, such as our orphanages, schools, and churches. Haiti and South Africa are two areas where work is currently in need of completion;

To plan and assist in local volunteer and mission related community service and outreach initiatives such as food drives, blanket drives, etc.

USHER’S BOARD

Our Mission

The mission of the Usher’s Board is to maintain an orderly and hospitable worship atmosphere in God's house for a positive Christian experience by recruiting and training ushers to exhibit excellence at all levels. The Usher’s Board strives to develop leaders which promote high productivity in the Usher ministry.

MUSIC DEPARTMENT

Our Mission

The Music Department was established to minister to the people through music and songs of faith ministered through the power of God.

Goals

Our mission is to create an atmosphere that will usher in the Holy Spirit to prepare the minds of the people to receive the Word of God.

MEDIA MINISTRY

Our Mission

This is a team of qualified individuals under the supervision of the Deacon (or other leader) as assigned by the Pastor, who ensures the following services are met by the needs of the Pastor: Video Technician, Video Ministry Audio Technician, Photographer, Sound Technician, Lighting Technician and Marketing.

Goals

Members of the Media Team will ensure that the following are met in excellence:

Song selections including hymns are available for the congregation during our weekly services.

Ensure that the Pastor’s message and scriptures are displayed throughout the service and streamed on church social media sites & website.

Display any special announcements as directed by Coordinator or Church Administrator and Pastor.

A member of the media team should be available for all services, special events, and funerals as directed.
